This page exists because we kept answering the same questions on discovery calls, over and over, before a single contract was ever signed. So we wrote them all down, in one place, answered plainly. Consider it the digital marketing agency FAQ we wish existed when we started fielding these calls ourselves.
General Agency Questions
How much does a digital marketing agency in Mumbai cost? Anywhere from ₹15,000 a month for a single-channel retainer to well over ₹1,50,000 for full-service, multi-channel management. See our full buyer’s checklist for the questions that actually determine where you’ll land in that range.
How long is a typical contract? Most agencies, ours included, work in three or six-month blocks minimum, because marketing needs time to compound before results show clearly.
Do I need an agency if I have an in-house marketing person? Not always. An agency makes more sense when you need specialised skills across several channels at once than one generalist can realistically cover.
SEO FAQ
How long does SEO take to show results? Typically three to six months for initial movement, six to twelve for competitive commercial keywords. Our full timeline breakdown covers this in more depth.
Can you guarantee a page-one ranking? No, and be wary of anyone who says yes. Google’s own guidance confirms rankings can’t be guaranteed by any outside party.
What’s the difference between SEO and paid ads? SEO builds organic, unpaid visibility over time. Paid ads buy immediate visibility that stops the moment spending stops.
Do I need a blog for SEO to work? Not strictly, but fresh, relevant content makes ranking for more than a handful of branded terms significantly harder without one.
Website Development FAQ
How much does a website cost in Mumbai? Basic sites start around ₹30,000; ecommerce and custom builds run considerably higher. Our full pricing breakdown covers this by project type.
WordPress or a custom build? WordPress suits the vast majority of business websites. Custom development is worth the extra cost only when your functional needs genuinely can’t be met by existing platforms.
Who owns the website once it’s built? You should, including the code, hosting login, and domain. Confirm this in writing before the project starts, not after.
How long does a website take to build? A straightforward informational site typically takes four to six weeks; ecommerce and custom platforms take longer, often eight to twelve weeks or more.
Social Media Marketing FAQ
How many posts a month do I actually need? Consistency matters more than raw volume — eight well-planned posts a month usually outperform twenty rushed ones.
Should I be on every platform? No. Pick the one or two platforms your actual customers use and do those well before expanding further.
How do I know if social media marketing is working? Track engagement relative to follower count, website click-throughs, and, where possible, leads or sales attributed to social — not just follower growth alone.
Is paid social advertising necessary? Not always, but organic reach on most platforms has declined enough that a modest paid boost budget often makes a meaningful difference for business accounts specifically.
