| The Situation: Rankings Falling. Authority Collapsing. Enquiries Drying Up. |
Acmeview Interior Solutions serves corporate clients — companies that need fit-outs, modular interiors, and workspace design at scale. It is a B2B business where a single client win can be worth lakhs in ongoing project value. Their sales process starts online: a procurement manager searches ‘modular interior fit-out company India,’ shortlists three or four vendors based on Google rankings and website quality, and then reaches out.
When Acmeview came to us, their Google rankings were in decline. Domain authority had fallen from 17 to 9 — a sharp drop that was dragging rankings, CTR, and organic sessions down with it. The April baseline showed sessions of 167, CTR of 1.6%, and an average keyword position of 20.6. By June, all three were worse.
The problem needed to be diagnosed before it could be fixed. Surface-level tweaks were not going to reverse a DA collapse — we needed to find out why it happened.
| A DA drop is not just a number going down. It is Google telling you it trusts your site less than it did before. You can’t fix that with meta tags and blog posts alone. You have to find out why the trust eroded. |
▌ The Problem We Were Hired to Solve
| ⚠ The Problem
• DA had dropped sharply from 17 to 9 — active regression, not stagnation • CTR and organic sessions declining every month with no floor in sight • Weak keyword coverage for B2B interior and fit-out procurement terms • Portfolio pages not optimised for the queries buyers actually use • Site speed and TTFB issues reducing crawl efficiency and user quality • Low engagement signals — users arriving and bouncing quickly |
✦ What We Did
• Root cause analysis of the DA drop — identified specific link losses driving the regression • Targeted link rebuilding campaign to restore and surpass previous authority levels • Portfolio page optimisation for B2B modular interior, corporate fit-out, and procurement keywords • TTFB and page speed improvements to restore crawl rate and user experience • Vendor and builder directory listings for B2B discoverability in the right search channels • Content refresh aligned to procurement-stage buyer intent — not generic interior content |
✓ Results
• DA recovered from 9 to 15 — surpassing the pre-drop level eventually • CTR peaked at 1.8% in July — highest performance in the entire tracked period • Engagement rate improved to 69.16% by September — better-quality traffic arriving • Priority commercial keywords gained +10 to +12 positions • Site health stabilised — no further regression after the intervention • Organic sessions began recovering from a low of 103 (Aug) back toward pre-drop levels |
▌ What We Actually Solved — The Real Story
The diagnosis took time but it was the most important part of the work. The DA drop was not caused by a Google penalty — it was caused by a loss of backlinks that had been providing significant authority. When those links went away (sites were updated, pages removed), Acmeview’s authority score fell in proportion. Google recalibrated its trust accordingly.
The fix was to replace that lost authority with better, more relevant authority. We secured backlinks from interior design trade publications, B2B vendor directories, and architecture portals — sources that Google specifically trusts for queries about corporate interior projects. By September, the DA had recovered to 15, with better link diversity and topic relevance than it had before the drop.
The CTR peak in July was a separate win — it showed that the on-page work was delivering, with rewritten metadata and improved keyword targeting driving more click-throughs from the impressions already being generated.
| ✦ | EEAT SIGNAL — Expertise & Trust
This recovery project required forensic-level SEO diagnosis — not just optimisation. We Digital Creatives identified the specific cause of the authority drop, documented it transparently, and fixed it methodically. Monthly reports detailed every intervention and its measured result. No black-box work. No unexplained tactics. |
▌ The Outcome
By September 2024, Acmeview Interior Solutions had recovered its domain authority, improved CTR and engagement metrics, and gained +10 to +12 positions on priority commercial keywords. The site had regained the search trust it lost, with a stronger and more relevant backlink profile than it had prior to the drop. The foundation was set for continued organic growth.
